“Make Your Mark in Africa” is a non-profit initiative founded by Emma Hayes and operating under Empathy FX International. The name pays homage to the non-profit organization Emma co-founded in high school, where her mission was simple yet powerful: to ensure students in Ghana and Tanzania had access to basic educational resources- even something as essential as a pencil makes a difference.

After stepping away from the organization when she began college, Emma returned to this calling in 2023. A reconnection with Rosemary Hua DeAragon, Founder of Empathy FX International, reignited her commitment to advancing education, women’s health, and community development in Ghana. Today, Emma’s work centers on building sustainable, long-term solutions through on-the-ground projects, deep community partnerships, and a belief that opportunity begins with access.
